Hi Dave.... Quick computer question for you today. Whenever I try to watch anything on youtube, it breaks up. I get 2 words, a pause, then 2 more words. Is this because I'm on dial-up or because I never upgraded my Windows Media Player? I have version 6.4 and run Windows ME. There is a version 9 that I could upgrade to. Should I? Or am I all off base here in thinking that that is the problem? You'd think after 5 yrs I would have learned more about my computer, but I haven't! Too much time wasted on Spider Solitaire. Thanks, Fran/ Fran, when the video comes on the screen, click the stop button. When the gray bar makes it all the way across the player window, then click play. im on cable and don't get youtube very well either, I think it's a bandwidth issue; they just have millions of people there at any time downloading stuff, so its a bit slow. So I tend to stop and let it load first. then play. see pic. hth. dave (click the little stop button, if you click the play button to make it stop, then it stops uploading)
Alternately, on google videos, just click the play button to make it stop, and the video will continue to load, without the video playing. otherwise the computer plays the movie right up to what it has downloaded. Video tends to be massive filesizes. your browser can't read ahead ofwhat's downloaded, so you get a couple of words and a freeze frame. .Dave
